The Hirose ZE05 series is a compact, high-reliability 2.0mm-pitch wire-to-board connector designed for demanding automotive interfaces, featuring a space-saving 0.5mm contact tab. It offers a wide range of position options, from 2 to 24 positions (with details indicating up to 32 or 40 positions), in plug and receptacle types with straight or right-angle orientations. The connector is engineered for harsh environments, providing high-temperature resistance up to 125°C and high vibration resistance. It has a rated current of 5A (single pin) or 2A (all pins), supports wire sizes from 20 to 26 AWG (0.13 to 0.5 mm²), and ensures secure connections with a tensile strength of 40N when used with a retainer. A key safety feature is the CPA (Connector Position Assurance) mechanism, available in the ZE05C variant, which prevents incomplete mating. The series is available in housing colors like black and gray, uses tin-plated contacts, and supports THR (Through-Hole Reflow) and SMT mounting, making it a robust solution for automotive internal connections.
