What is XT Connector?

 

XT connectors are a widely recognized family of high-current DC power connectors, initially developed by Amass Electronics, designed to meet the demanding power transmission needs of lithium battery applications. Characterized by their robust construction, featuring gold-plated brass pins and a high-temperature nylon housing, these connectors are engineered for high conductivity, corrosion resistance, and durability. A key safety feature is their polarized, asymmetrical design, which prevents reverse-polarity connections, making them a reliable choice for high-power applications. The series includes various models denoted by numbers that approximate their current-handling capacity in amps, such as the compact XT30 (15-30A), the versatile and very popular XT60 (30-60A), and the high-power XT90 (up to 90A).
