JST SAN Connector, Custom Wire Harness Assembly
Introduction
The JST SAN series is a compact 2.0 mm-pitch wire-to-board, board-in crimp connector system designed for high-density PCB mounting and streamlined harness assembly. With a low mounting height of 6.0 mm and narrow width of 3.25 mm, it minimizes footprint while supporting 2 to 15 circuits. Rated at 2 A AC/DC (AWG #24) and 250 V AC/DC, it operates from –25 °C to +85 °C and withstands 800 VAC for one minute. Two contact types—A (for 1.2/1.6 mm PCBs) and K (for 1.6 mm PCBs)—use tin-plated copper alloy and accept AWG #30–#24 conductors with 0.9–1.3 mm insulation OD. Contacts are crimped via AP-K2N machines with MKS-L applicators (die set APLMK SAN002-08). Yellow PA housings come in 2P–15P sizes with pitch-based length increments. Key advantages include easy contact insertion, secure board retention, simplified harness processing, and RoHS2 compliance, making it ideal for space-constrained electronics needing reliable, repeatable wire-to-board connections.
