This JST VL Connector is a 6.2 mm pitch wire-to-wire connector, engineered for high-current applications with a maximum current rating of 20 A per circuit using AWG #12 wire. Its robust housing lock ensures secure connections in demanding environments, while the integrated retainer mechanism prevents incomplete insertion and contact backout, significantly enhancing reliability. The housing lance mechanism provides a stable and clear contact insertion feel, unaffected by external forces, ensuring consistent retention force. Additionally, a panel lock on the receptacle housing simplifies panel mounting and minimizes wire entanglement, with options for free-hanging applications also available. For added flexibility, the connector supports board-to-wire configurations, using the same socket contacts and plug housings for streamlined standardization in internal power circuits across various electrical devices.

- High current capability
- Both 1 and 2 circuits versions can carry a maximum current of 20 A per circuit when used with AWG #12.
- Housing lance mechanism
- The housing features an integrated lance mechanism that is not affected by external forces, providing a clear contact insertion feel and stable contact retention force.
- Retainer compatible
- Retainers are available. The retainer prevents incomplete insertion and secures the contact in the housing while improving the mechanical reliability of the connection.
- Panel lock compatible
- The receptacle housing features a compact and innovative panel lock design that prevents wire entanglement, making it easy and secure for panel mounting.
- Board-to-Wire connectors are also available.

Note:
- The current rating differs depending on the number of circuits and the wire size used in each connector as shown in the table above.
- Do not branch in parallel current which exceeds the rated current. If branched in parallel, current imbalance or other problems may occur. If it is absolutely necessary to branch such a large current in parallel, design the circuits without causing any imbalance and provide extra margin for each circuit.
